Built for locals and visitors.
Lanark is the busiest town in this corner of South Lanarkshire, with a High Street full of independent shops, cafés and services, and visitors coming through for New Lanark. That mix gives your website two jobs: being easy to find for locals searching on their phone, and making a good first impression on people who've never heard of you.
I'm about 15 minutes away in Blackwood. I'll build you a site that's quick, clear and set up properly for local search, so people looking for what you do in Lanark find you rather than someone else.
Need something specific? Website redesigns, speed fixes, local SEO or hosting and support.
One person, everything covered.
I design, build and look after your website myself, so nothing falls between the cracks. Here's what's covered:
Mobile-first, fast on any device
Local SEO, so nearby customers find you first
Booking, payments, CRM and email, all connected
Hosting and security handled for you
Updates and ongoing support
Redesigns and rebuilds of existing sites
Click-to-call and enquiry forms that convert
Tracking set up, so you see what's working
I've been building websites for over 14 years. Here's how it started.

Back in 2012, I was a college student with a text editor and no real idea what I was doing. I typed a few lines of code, hit refresh, and something I'd made appeared on the screen. I remember thinking: wait, I can just do that? I've been at it ever since.
Most of what I know came the slow way: building things, watching them break, and working out why. Early on, I launched a site that fell apart on my client's customers' phones, and I've tested everything on real phones ever since.
These days the projects are a wee bit bigger. I've moved one of the world's oldest golf clubs onto a modern platform, brought over a dozen sites together under one brand for a machinery company, and built apps that dozens of staff rely on every morning.
What that means for you is simple: I've already fixed most of the things that can go wrong on a project for someone else. You won't be paying for me to figure it out as I go.
Along the way, I learned that a website has one job: getting the right person to get in touch. Speed decides that more than anything, so every site I build aims for a 100 on Google's PageSpeed score. Most small business sites are nowhere near it.
So if you're curious where yours sits, send it over. I'll run it through, tell you the score, and give you the three things I'd fix first. No charge, no hard sell.

Chris DochertyGlasgowFrequently asked questions
Can't find your answer here? Send me a message and I'll get back to you.
Can you help me get more customers from visitors to the area?
Yes. Visitors search on their phones, often from a car park or a café, so a fast site and an up-to-date Google Business Profile matter more than anything. I'll make sure both are sorted.
Do you work with shops and cafés, or just trades?
Both. Whatever the business, the job is the same: show people what you offer and make it easy for them to visit, call or book.
How far away are you?
About 15 minutes, in Blackwood, so meeting up in Lanark is easy.
How long does a project take?
A straightforward small business website can be live in around 14 days. Bigger sites with extra features take longer, and I'll give you a realistic timeline before we start.
What if I don't like the website?
I'll keep revising until you love it, or give you your money back.
How is this different from DIY platforms?
DIY means Do It Yourself. This is Done FOR You. I build around what actually gets enquiries, not pretty templates that don't convert.
What happens after launch?
I handle hosting, updates, security and maintenance so you can focus on your business. Need changes later? Just ask.
What if I already have a website?
No problem. I can redesign, rebuild or refresh what you've got, and I'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your business.
Ready for a website that earns its keep?
