Your local web designer, literally.
Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill run into each other so much that most locals treat them as one place, so this page covers both. It's also where I live, which makes it the easiest place in the world for me to pop round for a chat.
Most businesses here are small and local: trades, salons, cafés and people working from home, getting most of their work through word of mouth and the local Facebook groups. A good website backs that up. When someone hears your name and looks you up, it should load quickly on their phone, show what you do and make it easy to get in touch.

I've been building websites for over 14 years. Here's how it started.

Back in 2012, I was a college student with a text editor and no real idea what I was doing. I typed a few lines of code, hit refresh, and something I'd made appeared on the screen. I remember thinking: wait, I can just do that? I've been at it ever since.
Most of what I know came the slow way: building things, watching them break, and working out why. Early on, I launched a site that fell apart on my client's customers' phones, and I've tested everything on real phones ever since.
These days the projects are a wee bit bigger. I've moved one of the world's oldest golf clubs onto a modern platform, brought over a dozen sites together under one brand for a machinery company, and built apps that dozens of staff rely on every morning.
What that means for you is simple: I've already fixed most of the things that can go wrong on a project for someone else. You won't be paying for me to figure it out as I go.
Along the way, I learned that a website has one job: getting the right person to get in touch. Speed decides that more than anything, so every site I build aims for a 100 on Google's PageSpeed score. Most small business sites are nowhere near it.
So if you're curious where yours sits, send it over. I'll run it through, tell you the score, and give you the three things I'd fix first. No charge, no hard sell.

Can't find your answer here? Send me a message and I'll get back to you.
Are you actually local?
Yes. I live in Blackwood, so if your business is in Blackwood or Kirkmuirhill I'm only a few minutes away.
Most of my work comes from the local Facebook groups. Do I still need a website?
Word of mouth is brilliant, but people still look you up before they get in touch. A website gives them somewhere to check you're legit, see your work and contact you, long after the Facebook post has scrolled away.
Can you help me show up on Google Maps?
Yes. I'll set up or tidy your Google Business Profile, make sure your details match everywhere they appear, and build your site so Google knows where you work.
How long does a project take?
A straightforward small business website can be live in around 14 days. Bigger sites with extra features take longer, and I'll give you a realistic timeline before we start.
What if I don't like the website?
I'll keep revising until you love it, or give you your money back.
How is this different from DIY platforms?
DIY means Do It Yourself. This is Done FOR You. I build around what actually gets enquiries, not pretty templates that don't convert.
What happens after launch?
I handle hosting, updates, security and maintenance so you can focus on your business. Need changes later? Just ask.
What if I already have a website?
No problem. I can redesign, rebuild or refresh what you've got, and I'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your business.
